Vir Das set to make Indian comedy history with iconic Apollo theatre performance in London

Vir Das to make history as he takes the stage at London's legendary Apollo Theatre on December 16. The Apollo Theatre has hosted iconic acts such as The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones, and contemporary stars like Selena Gomez and Kylie Minogue, and will now feature Vir Das as part of his Mind Fool tour. 

 Das highlighted the significance of the moment as a personal triumph. The historic venue, known for hosting both musical legends and comedy icons, will be filled with an anticipated live audience of nearly 5000 people.

Das sees his Mind Fool tour as a way of spreading laughter across borders, aiming to share this unique experience with audiences worldwide. The comedian is currently riding high on an International Emmy win, having secured the prestigious award for Best Comedy for his standup special 'Vir Das: Landing.'

Last month's victory was marked by gratitude towards his team and Netflix, the platform where 'Vir Das: Landing' premiered. Reflecting on the achievement, Das emphasized that the award is not a recognition of his work but a celebration of diverse Indian stories and voices, making it a moment for Indian comedy and the global community of artists.
